JAMIE'S ANGELS
Posted By Judy allen 8-16-09

In 1995 I was pregnant with twins. In my 28th week I had an emergency c-section because of a medical problem that was dangerous to the twins as well as me. The twins were delivered but one of them would never make it. The hospital staff could not revive her.The other twin survived but was a special needs child. Her name was Jamie. Jamie was in the critical care nursery. She was hooked up to a lot of machines. Me and Dad stayed up there nearly all the time but we could not hold her. I longed to hold my child but at that point It was impossible. She was in critical and behind glass. We were told that Jamie would not make it, and that it was a matter of time before she passed. One day as we were by her incubator there was a sweet lady that walked down by the side of us. She had a special look about her. Her hair was in a really nice granny ball on top of her head. She was dressed all in white and even had the typical nurse shoes on. She walked by us and smiled a very brilliant smile to us. I saw her nod and say "Everything is going to be okay." I felt a sense of comfort. She passed us smiling. When I looked behind me to where she should have been there was no one there. In back of me was a wall without a door or anything that she could have went through. I knew right then that we had witnessed an angel in our mist. About a month later Jamie was put into the other nursery because she had improved so much. One day when I went up there to the hospital to see her there was a ratter music box in her bed. It played the song AMAZING GRACE the same song that was sang at her twin sister's funeral. When I looked around there was no one there and none of the nursing staff knew where it came from. When I got up to leave I went to the glass window to leave and there was the little sweet lady with her hands behind her back walking off. She looked back over her shoulder and smiled. I knew that Jamie had a guardian angel with her. Jamie went home to be with the Lord in 2002 peacefully but I always knew that she had her angel with her.

Julie When we were barrel racing we would joke about how us girls wouldn't cowboy up we would angel up. You are an Angel up to me. I look up to you almost every day, because of how you turned out to the world.

David, you reached out to me when no one else did. Thank you. You showed me what I think an Earth Angel really is. I just need you to know I'm going to pass it on.

Once upon a time you asked me if we could touch the stars... I told you yes when you grew up I believed you could. when you reach out to touch other lives the way I see you doing, you touch the stars. You should be so proud of who you are. I am.

Jesse

I love you. I send prayer wings to you today to let you know I am loving you. I want you to know there is anonymous love in the Universe loving you. I want you to know that what you are going through is just that, something you are going through it will pass. I want you to know that there is so much love in this Universe that even when we aren't looking we are being loved. I want you to know that, feel that. I want you to know that there is so much love in this Universe flowing over us that even when we don't think we are being loved, we are. I love you.

A soldier

I sent wings anonymously to a soldier today. Being someone who protects our country is an interesting job. It's a job that is so vital, so close to our hearts that I becomes hard for us to express our appreciation and gratitude. I think that the things that we feel the most vulnerable about are the things we don't usually talk about. I think we get scared. If we talk about how scared we are it might make our fear come true. What if we lose our freedom? It's sort of like we get embarrassed. So to the soldier I sent wings to... I would like you to know how important the job you are doing is. It touches my heart so deep that it scares me. I want you to know that the job you are doing is so important it touches each human, american soil, the sky, our cities, our loved ones... our very lives. And the job is so big that it takes multitudes of you to make a whole. So it doesn't matter if you are in a high important place, or someone who feeds the ones in the high important place.... what you do matters. What you do matters more than you can imagine. Thank you, forever.

Vision is in the heart
Posted By Alice Hammermeister 12-06-08 - So. Oregon

You meet people along the way and so often you just instantly fall in love with someone. That is the case with a woman whom I've gotten to know during a mutual business adventure. She's soft, kind, sweet and has those eyes of angels as I like to call them that shine bright when she smiles and brighter yet when she speaks of something near and dear to her heart like her husband, kids, grandkids, friends. Recently she was diagnosed with a very rare cornea disease that takes your site without warning, causing you to go blind over just a short time. I saw her in the building where we both recently opened new businesses and watched as she spoke to me by tilting her head slightly and squinting to see me. I had just gotten my wings in the shop. I had been pondering how to say to her what I wanted to get across. I asked her to come out into the hall with me, I have something for you I said. I held her a moment and tried not to cry but then thought wow, what's the point of that.. I gave her her wings and told her how much I'd grown to love her in such a short time, that I hoped the words of hope and strength would be with her. So often it seems that people would rather not acknowledge something like this because they can't find the words. You hear "I didn't know what to say, so I said nothing". The loving wings eliminate that barrier, give flight to what might be in the heart of those who can't find the right words or the way to express them. In thinking about the loss of site and how you hear that it enhances other senses I also hoped that if she ends up not seeing that when she wants to recall the "words" on the card, she only has to caress the beautiful softness of her wings and remind herself of her own inner strength. Thank you for opening up a new way to validate, to bolster,to show kindness...to love, but mostly for the gifts it gives the Wing recipient, I'm ever grateful. Alice

For Mary in Alaska
Posted By Alice Hammermeister 12-06-08 - So. Oregon

I have a close and beautiful friend in Alaska known as Mountain Mary. She's been on an educational group I own for years as a moderator and educator, that's how I've come to know her and love her as many on this group do. One of those amazing cyber friendships where you haven't had the pleasure of meeting someone face to face but that doesn't get in the way of a great friendship. She's got a huge giving heart, embraces peaceful living and loves two beautiful adopted Alaskan Native children along with her hubby, animals, the earth and many friends. You can't NOT love Mary back. This past month she has been blindsided by some tremendous loses. Her nephew was murdered, her mom lost her fight with cancer and her father kept his ailing heart problems to himself to spare his wife further grief as Mary puts it "as she gained her wings into peace". I'm sending her Angel Wings on behalf of everyone in our "group" who loves and supports her. She's trying to help pay for the headstone for her nephew and to that end again our group has risen to the occassion of need and we're sending her a "hug" box as we call it. Personalized gifts made from the heart. Knowing how much all of this will mean to her is only made better by the opportunity to send her Angel Wings. Amazing how gifts from the heart present themselves, for this I thank you for having made these amazing gifts that say so much. I know she will always hold them dear as they speak to her of her mothers "wings of peace". Mary, we love you girl. Alice

Just a little bit
Posted By A stranger - California 10-05-08

I sent wings to a stranger today. I saw this site and tried to think about who I could send wings to. It turned out to be a stranger working in a store. She smiled so kindly and worked so gently with frustrated customers that it moved me. She'll never know who sent these, but I will remember being touched by her the rest of my life. I am going to be just a little bit kinder because she showed me how to.

I sent you wings because it was as close of an expression of appreciation for you I could find. the wisdom and strength I feel when I read your work or listen to you tells my insides I can have that too. I can be strong in who I am because she is. I can be comfortable in who I am because she is. I can be in favor of who I am because she is. Thank you. Enjoy knowing you are what they say on this site, an Angel on the Earth. I am holding in my heart my appreciation of you and the appreciation that you might feel getting these wings. I need a bigger heart.
